Excursions & Workshops

On Tuesday afternoon, conference delegates will have the opportunity to participate in 1 of 2 excursions, or to choose 2 Workshops from a list of concurrent sessions.

Excursions (Delegates choose one only)

Excursions: 2.00pm - 5.30pm

  1. Dapto Community Farm, Nan Tien Temple and CareWays Sensory RoomThis excursion will Include a visit to Dapto Community Farm and how it operates as a community hub and then on to Dapto Neighbourhood Centre to experience their Community Sensory Room for people with a disability.

It’s a thriving community of like-minded entrepreneurs with vision, purpose and passion, growing their impact through exceptional education, mentoring and support among inspiring surrounds.

  3. Role of Neighbourhood Houses in the Tasmanian Bushfires - Presented by Lauren McGrow (Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania)
  4. Deeper Dive into Changing Community Culture regarding Customer/Client Aggression (icare)
  5. Self-Care for Workers in the Community Sector - Presented by Linda Watson (Centre for Community Welfare Training)
